Jon grew up on a small dairy farm here in Wayne County. Early on he realized he wouldn’t be able to avoid the cows on the farm, so he looked into other ag related opportunities as he got older. He worked at a local strawberry patch and at Premier Pontiac in Rittman right before he came to Lowe & Young. He started at L&Y in 1999 in the service department up until fall of 2024 when he moved into his current role of Sales Manager. “I cannot imagine working alongside a better group of people, serving an awesome customer base!” Jon became an owner of Lowe & Young in 2020.
He is married to his wife, Karen, and they have four children. Jon really enjoys spending time with his family, side by side riding with his boys in West Virginia, and is very involved with their church and youth group. Shila grew up on her family’s organic dairy farm in Ashland County where she would milk the cows and take care of the calves. She was also involved with her school’s FFA chapter while in high school. Shila continued her education at Ashland University graduating with a B.A. in Public Relations & Strategic Communication. After graduating in 2023, she started working at Lowe & Young as our Marketing & Communications Manager.
Shila is married, and she loves to read, bake, spend time with her family and friends, attend church activities, and watch football & explore new places with her husband, Clay. - Less

Mike was raised on a beef farm in Wayne County. In 1988 he started working for Weygandt Inc in their parts department. Sterling Farm would buy them out in 1990, and Mike continued to work in parts until 2007. He then started working for Lowe & Young in 2008 - starting in the parts department and moving over to the sales department. Mike is married to his wife - Norma - and they have a daughter, Rachel (married to Trent) and a son, Jeff. Mike is a big Cleveland fan - Indians baseball and Browns football! He also likes to hunt and to ride side by side. Fun fact: he hauled milk for 29.5 years part-time! - Less

Brian grew up on a dairy farm, and farmed until he was 30 years old. He transitioned into the world of Ag Sales, which he has been doing for around 26 years. Before working at L&Y he was with Shearer Equipment and Rittman Orchard. Brian has been a salesman at Lowe & Young since 2013. He is married to his wife, Darlene, and they have a son and two daughters. Brian enjoys fishing, cooking (especially grilling!), gardening & fruit trees, and going on cruises. - Less

Kirk was raised on a 60 cow dairy farm in Sterling. He worked for neighboring farms throughout his high school years and into college. Prior to Lowe & Young, Kirk worked for Centerra C-op for 10+ years; He then started at Lowe & Young in 2021 where he has been a part of our sales team. He is married to his wife, Bethany, and they have one daughter and three sons. Some fun facts about Kirk: he has been skydiving twice, took 1st place in the 8th grade spelling bee, and does in fact enjoy a chilled Arnold Palmer. - Less

Bill grew up in Wayne County where he worked for his uncle on his dairy farm, and also took Ag Mechanics at WCSCC. Bill joined the Lowe & Young team in 1984, starting in the parts department. He was the Parts Manager for many years and eventually he would become the President of our company in 2011. He has been an owner of Lowe & Young since 1998. Bill is married to his wife, Pam, and they have three children and three grandchildren. He really enjoys teaching Sunday school, going on missions trips, and doing yard work. He also tinkers on old lawn mowers in his spare time! - Less

Jean has been in the agricultural business industry for about 40 years. She started at Wooster Equity Feed Mill back in the mid 1980’s as an assistant bookkeeper and then in 1987, when her father-in-law purchased Shearer Equipment, she worked alongside her mother-in-law as a bookkeeper for their dealership. When her mother-in-law retired, Jean became the office manager before coming to Lowe & Young in 2005. She started as our bookkeeper in 2005 and now is our office manager. Jean was married to her (late) husband for 36 years, and they had one son together, and she has one granddaughter. Jean enjoys reading, doing crafts, watching movies, and spending time outside when it’s warm! - Less
