Superior performance with the MAN D26 engine

The optimized MAN D26 engine is found under the hood of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4, which excels with uncompromising performance, increased efficiency, and a future-oriented design. Developed for the toughest jobs, it embodies the spirit of the largest standard tractor on the market. The 6-cylinder engine has a 12.4-liter capacity and 26,107 psi injection pressure. This allows it to deliver up to 550 horsepower in its most powerful configuration, making it perfect for the most demanding applications. This includes heavy soil cultivation with a rotary plow, wide cultivators, or use with large chaser bins.

Features of the MAN D26:

Fendt iD Low-Speed Concept: 650 RPM (idle) up to 1,700 RPM for maximum fuel efficiency and protection of engine components. The VTG turbocharger with engine brake function provides increased safety, additional control, and durable brakes. The larger torsion damper offers more comfort while simultaneously protecting the engine. Adaptive Power: The adjustable power levels enable gentle use of implements with low power requirements, allowing for higher utilization of the tractor and reducing fuel consumption. The hydro tappet for automatic valve play adjustment ensures maintenance-free operation and smooth engine performance. Achieve up to 31 mph top speed at 1,450 RPM – unique in the 550 horsepower class. Thanks to the tractor management system and the automatic load limiting 2.0, the engine and transmission are perfectly synchronized, ensuring the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 always operates in the optimal range – delivering maximum work results with optimal fuel consumption.

Added performance concept: Fendt DynamicPerformance

The increase in performance whenever you need it – and that for all models: With the Fendt DynamicPerformance (DP) extra power concept, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 offers up to 30 hp* more power for increased productivity and efficiency while at the same time reducing fuel consumption.

Unlike classic boost concepts, Fendt DynamicPerformance provides power automatically and without limitation when secondary consumers such as fans, compressed air supply, air conditioning or the hydraulic pump need additional power. Fendt DP delivers these in a targeted and situational manner, thus ensuring consistent work performance and productivity – regardless of the application: at low speeds in soil cultivation, in transport or for PTO work when standing with a wood chipper. This allows you to efficiently use more performance – in a targeted and reliable manner.

Cooling concept: Concentric Air System (CAS) with pressurized fan

Just like its predecessor, the fourth generation of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 features the proven Concentric Air System (CAS) cooling concept. The concentric, forced-air fan has an independent hydrostatic drive and is designed for higher outdoor temperatures. Thanks to its extremely narrow and compact design, it allows for a high steering angle, making it a key factor in the exceptional maneuverability of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4.

Each component of the cooling package can control the cooling system individually as needed, enhancing overall efficiency. Compared to other cooling systems, the CAS requires up to 40% less drive power, making it particularly efficient and significantly reducing fuel consumption.

Already tried and tested: the intelligent VarioDrive drivetrain

The VarioDrive drivetrain has been impressive since the first generation of the Fendt 1000 Vario Series. It stands for continuous, dynamic driving at any speed from 0.01 to 31 mph, with an independent, variable all-wheel drive up to 15 mph and the smallest possible turning circle thanks to the pull-in turn effect. The result: maximum soil protection, higher efficiency, and less wear on the machine.

The pull-in turn effect reduces the turning circle by up to 10% compared to conventional four-wheel drive without the pull-in turn effect. This allows for easier and more precise maneuvering. Additionally, with VarioDrive, power transmission remains tension-free even when cornering, ensuring maximum soil protection and the best traction.

Fendt Torque Distribution provides permanent tractive power by intelligently distributing the torque to the axle with the best grip. This minimizes slippage, ensuring the tractor has maximum traction and optimal power transmission.

Less maintenance and clean air thanks to self-cleaning air filter for the engine and cab

Clean air for full performance – even under extremely dusty conditions such as soil cultivation, sowing or when using on construction sites. The automatic self-cleaning of the engine and cab air filter is done, passively by the negative pressure of the engine fan. In addition, there are short, situational air bursts that actively blow out the engine air filter. This prolongs the service life of the air filter many times over, the maintenance effort is reduced and you benefit from maximum efficiency, less downtime and permanently high performance.

The reversible fan ensures a constant supply of fresh air. By changing the direction of rotation, the current direction of the air can change and thus frees the hood of dirt and particles such as dust or straw – nothing stands in the way of intensive applications.

Thanks to the 550 hp and the powerful VarioDrive drivetrain, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 effortlessly masters heavy towing work. With the well thought-out and innovative ballasting and tIre concept, you benefit from the maximum power development of the tractor in the field.

VarioGrip protects the soil, your foundation

The fully integrated Fendt VarioGrip tire pressure regulation system boosts the overall productivity of the machine. You can easily adjust the tire air pressure via the terminal to match your needs. With a capacity of 28.25 cubic feet per minute at 181 psi, the XL compressor provides the necessary power for quick pressure changes – without any external devices or operation. Properly adjusted tire pressure reduces slippage and ground pressure, maintaining soil fertility and increasing tractive power by up to 10%. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced by up to 8%. VarioGrip is available for both flange and stub axles, and can also be used with the new 480 Row Crop dual tires.

Versatile hydraulics

The hydraulic system of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 makes the largest standard tractor on the market into what it is: versatile for a wide range of applications. The implements are efficiently driven and precisely controlled via the powerful hydraulic system and the PTO. Thanks to its high and targeted flow capacity, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 offers reliable supply and high operational reliability, even for implements with large oil requirements, such as wide precision seed drills. This makes pure power of productive performance that is convincing.

Two pumps for maximum hydraulic power

The Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 offers two hydraulic options: a load-sensing pump (LS) with a flow rate of 58 gallons per minute (GPM) or two load-sensing pumps that together deliver an impressive total flow rate of 114 GPM. For the second option, in addition to the first LS pump, a second pump with a flow rate of 55 GPM is installed. This setup allows multiple functions to be operated simultaneously with different demands on pressure and volume, such as with a precision seed drill. This reduces throttle losses, saves energy, and can be conveniently controlled from the driver's seat.

Two hydraulic options are available on the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4: a load-sensing pump (LS) with a flow rate of 220 l/min or two load-sensing pumps that together deliver an impressive total flow rate of 430 l/min. For the second, in addition to the first LS pump, a second pump with a flow rate of 210 l/min is installed. In this way, several functions can be operated simultaneously with different demands on pressure and volume, for example with a precision seed drill. This reduces throttle losses, saves energy and is controlled conveniently from the driver's seat.
